Dear Voters,

I have recently announced my candidacy for the Solano County Board of Supervisors, District 3. As I embark on this exciting challenge, I am keenly aware that I cannot do it alone. Support from individuals like you will be critical to my campaign's success and to my effectiveness after I am elected.

I believe strongly in public service and have made that belief a reality in my life. Going on 20 years as Mayor of Suisun City, I have served on the Solano County Land Use Agency LAFCO, Solano Country Transportation Authority, County Transportation Improvement Authority, San Francisco Bay Area Metropolitan Transportation Commission MTC, County Water Agency, Fairfield Suisun Sewer District, and the Association of Bay Area Governments. I have gained a wealth of experience that will serve me and the people of Solano County well if I am chosen as Supervisor in 2006.

The citizens of Solano County deserve to be represented by a Supervisor who will address a broad range of local issues. We need to make progress not only in controlling growth, but also in improving the daily lives of citizens by creating more jobs, building a healthier economy, offering better transportation solutions, and making neighborhoods that are safer and housing that is affordable to more people. Under my leadership as Mayor of Suisun City, the City Council has done these things for our city. I am convinced that if I am chosen for the Board of Supervisors, I can help make comparable progress for all of Solano County. We can do this!
